Redmond Award </title><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img align="left" alt="Professor Mark G McGowan, St Michael's College" height="166" src="http://stmikes.utoronto.ca/about/img/people/mark_mcgowan.jpg" width="129"/&gt;, SMC Principal from 2002 to 2011, is the 2012 recipient of the &lt;a href="http://www.cpco.on.ca/" target="_blank"&gt;Catholic Principals Council of Ontario&lt;/a&gt;’s &lt;strong&gt;Father John Redmond Award&lt;/strong&gt;, for outstanding contributions to Catholic education. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The award is made only to an individual whose contribution to Catholic education has had a significant provincial impact. The selection is made by the CPCO executive council. The award will be presented, April 27, at the Gala Dinner at the CPCO annual conference in Toronto.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This award was instituted by the former Ontario Catholic Secondary School Principals’ Association and was presented to the individual who had made an outstanding contribution to Catholic education in Ontario. The Father John Redmond Award was continued with the merger of OCSSPA and CPCO.&lt;/p&gt;
